steering wheel

hi, this may help. i used to wrap racing bicycle handlebars with leather way
back when it was stylish. the leather should be good and wet. use two
needles with linen thread (triangle point needles are available). one needle
at each end of the thread, start a couple of stitches back of the repair
zone by centring the thread between two opposing holes. using a crossover
stitch...like lacing a shoe, proceed along the steering wheel and beyond the
damaged area. pull the thread tight but don't overdo it or you'll get
wrinkling and puckering...and _no one_ wants that! make a (k)neat knot at
the end and put a dot of instant glue on it and proceed to the next area in
need of repair.
