Re: Blower Motor
(Doyt,
I tried sending this message to your e-mail account but it bounced)
Doyt,
Actually, I should have been more clear in my original post.
It's the fresh air blower motor. It works but only in the 4th
stage. I've replaced the resistor and it worked fine for a few
months until the resistor blew again. I checked the TSB for the
blower motor and this is a known problem with the solution being
to replace said motor (TSB - high amperage draw from blower motor
overloads resistor: replace motor). However, I'll try your suggestion anyway
and see how things work out.
Thanks for the info.

I got my A/C blower motor working by shooting electrical contact cleaner
into the brush-commutator area and spinning the rotor with a long thin
screwdriver. The manual turning moved the rotor enough so that the cleaner
wiped the accumulated gunk off the contact points between the brushes and
the commutator, and the thing has been running fine for a month.
