Controll arm bushings for '87 4000csq

Hi All,

Everyone's comments on my jerky cold start from a month ago were greatly
appreciated. Here is how I found out what was wrong: having grudgingly
changed the air filter a few days before I noticed the problem I was so
happy I managed to assemble the whole thing that I had quite forgotten
about a tiny little vac. hose that is right on top of it. It looked like
it was connected (went in the right direction) but was hanging loose in the
front. Now I have a steady 1000-1050 rpm idle when cold. Not so bad for
an '87. After I go to the first light/stop sign it is already around 750.
Of course, that's what the tachimeter says.

Now there is a new puzzle. When I bought the car, I had it inspected and
they told me that the controll arm bushings were gone, and needed
replacement. Can anyone of the Audi wizzards come up with an argorithm for
a Saturday venture in that area? Any advice will, as always, be
humiliatedly appreciated.

The car is a '87 4kcsq. Tordado red (know this helps a lot!)

Thanks all,

Raffi
