cable, radio reception

Hi.
I recently replaced my antenna cable (86 4kq) in an effort to gain more
than one fm station.  I ordered mine from antenna world
(www.antennaworld.com), but it was in the $$ range you mentioned ($38
maybe?)  

ANYway, the reason i'm writing is I wonder if you are replacing yours
for a similar reason.  I had a top o' the line alpine with some hi-po
tuner installed, along with a new cable, and an amplified antenna. 
Still the crappiest reception you could imagine.  I know someone else w/
the same head unit which gets fantastic reception.  If you find anything
out, please let me know... several people have been through it to no
avail.
