re: pinhole leak in gas tank
First, I agree with Mr. Stuckey... don't go through the effort to pull
the tank out expecting to fix it, only to have to do it again some
inconvenient time. The RENU process treatment is worth chasing down if
you plan on keeping the car.
If you need the leak to stop while on the hunt for such a replacement
tank, pick up some JB Weld at PepBoys or somewhere like that. It's
cheap, easy, and it'll do a good enough job to give you plenty of
tank-searching time. But if you can't get to the leak w/out dropping
the tank, get a replacement.
