I would say that if you have multiple bulbs that appear to be out ...
especially if they were located in the same proximity that the problem may
be that they are not getting powered. I believe that the switch
illumination is adjustable based on the dimmer ... and some cars have an
electronic module that buffers the illumination voltage to multiple
circuits. I'd recommend that you look at the wiring diagram for your car
and see if all of the affected lights are on the same circuit. If they are,
stop looking at the bulbs and look for a wiring problem, either power
(usually a grey wire with blue stripes) or ground (brown) may be at fault.
