quick and dirty fix for 5kq? CC

Hi folks.  I have run out of hot air.  I'm not
getting vacuum to the valve in the hose so I
disconnected and plugged the vac tube and manually
moved the valve to open.  This works.  I'm going
to jump into the dash tonight, just make myself
real small and crawl up there.  I have the rad fan
coming on low speed in all positions except econ
so electronics probably are okay?  Now I'm
thinkin' vacuum leak but perhaps one of you might
make my life easier and point me to the prime
suspect.  I promise I won't ask any more favours
for at least two hours.  First I'm going to take
on that little 't' connector at the back of the
engine.  As I understand it you should be able to
suck on it from the vacuum side but there should
be no leakage by blowing on the other two
sides...n'est pas?
