'87 5kCSQ cruise control grommet??
Dear fellow/fella Audinauts,
Well, I read a couple of posts on this subject a couple of months back,
but failed to save 'em. While taking my Dad to lunch this PM I had my cruise
control sudden just decelerate and applying force to the accelerator brought
very little acceleration:-( I had a sneaking suspicion that it was the infamous
cruise control grommet on the rod by the vacumn bellows. Have after pulling off
the road confirmed this as the rod was now laying off to the side. If I
remember correctly the last person who experienced this had a novel solution...
or was it just a part number?? There is still a disk on the rod, but nothing
that snaps into the bracket, so I assume that the center barrel and other disk
section were launched into the great unknown when the thing let go.
All suggestions and assistance are greatly appreciated:-)
Happy motoring,
Shef
P.S. Please respond to me directly as I'm presently un$ub$cribed from the list.
