I have an extra plastic cruise control grommet, that the rod goes thru, then
the grommet snaps into the bracket. I experienced the grommet failure while
cruising the PA Turnpike last year. I ended up stopping at Danbury (CT)
Porsche/Audi for the part. The parts guy told me I had to buy the entire
cruise control assembly. After putting up a fuss about that...... he
mysteriously found the exact gromment needed, and I think I had to pay about $
3.00 each.......and I bought two of them ( one for the glove box ) I'll doubt
I'll ever need it, maybe in another ten years. So I'll send you mine if you
want.
