Some Q's I've Save Up

Hi Audi-its.....I've been observing your postings for a few months
now.....really enjoyed some of your discussions. I haven't wanted to
interject much because, quite frankly, I'm not "mechanically gifted" and
wouldn't have much input....but I do read your Q & A's with interest and
often learn something new.

I've saved up a few of my own:

     1.) I've owned my '93 90CS (sadly, Q-less) since April and I've
noticed a lot of oil usage. Maybe a quart every 8-10 weeks. Every car I've
owned before ('85 Honda, '85 4k, even my '78 Honda) has held their juice
until the next oil change.  Just had the oil changed 2 weeks ago...and it's
down a half (assuming the tech filled it up all the way). There's no
detectable leaks (nothin on the driveway) and haven't noticed blowing any
smoke...so I'm stumped. This can't be good!  :-(

     2.) Has anyone swapped out the annoying alarm activation horn in the
trunk?  Mine is sounding pretty "enemic" and I was wondering if it's easy
to replace.

     3.) Just curious...there is a small (1"x1") vent of somesort just next
to the sunroof switch. Whatsit for?  Also, a small vent on the dashboard
too.....I'm guessing it has to do with the auto climate system...but I
could be wrong.

     4.) My paint job is looking pretty pale ....almost like the paint is
fogging...I'm not sure how to describe it.  It's a pretty green, with acrue
interior (don't know official color name), but it's lookin kinda sick right
now.  My best bud is a cop, so I had him run the VIN.....apparently my 90
was a lease return and grew up in southern Calif. with all the smog and
yuch.  She's livin here in Northern CA now (South Bay Area) and is in need
of some "cosmetic surgery."  I'm hopin a good professional detail job
should suffice. Any suggestions would be helpful.

     5.)  The headrests in the back seat are separating on the
top....common??  fixable??

     6.) Is the growl I hear a few seconds after starting the car the ABS?
My sister's Astro van does the same thing.
