I thought horizontal was 'locked'? It's so long since we sold our
car ...
Anyway - there are _two_ types of key for a 4k. One opens everything -
one doesn't open the glovebox or the trunk. The idea is that you can
lock your valuables in the car and hand it over to your VAG dealer
for service, giving them the 'restricted' key. It sounds like you only
have the 'restricted' key. Any dealer can cut an 'unrestricted' key
from a 'restricted' one - it's a different blank.
