after-run coolant pump

Just a suggestion...I also ot tied of replacing bad after run coolant 
pumps and searched for an alternative. I found the MB pumps very rarely 
go bad and are very reliable. However, the diameter was slightly 
different from the Audi design. Since I got the pump for a good deal 
(free) I used a 1/2 inch piece of hose as a kind of shim so the Audi 
hose would not leak or be over-stressed. This worked great and continues 
to do so.
