1990 80q driveshaft conversion? AND 85 4ksq questions

Hi all!  Just a quickie about the driveshaft center support (BMW part)
conversion.  I had the center support replaced on my 85 4ksq w/ the BMW
part- much cheaper than replacing the shaft.  Can remember a while back
someone posted the part # for this BMW part that worked on the 4ksq's.  Does
this conversion apply to the 80 series q's?  If so is it the same part?

Also, for my 85 4ksq- what is a WOT switch?  And what is the vacuum advance
on the distributor?  How can these two things effect how much power the car
has- ie, sluggish performance.   Any suggestions would be very much
appreciated, as always.
