Power window lubrication, also A/C controls - 84 5kS

Where/how should the power window wires be lubricated?
What sort of lubrication should one use?
I have some white lithium-based grease, will this attack
any of the materials in the PW system?
If I need something more substantial, is WD40 OK for
the moment?


Also, can someone with a Bentley provide the pinout
of the automatic climate control head unit?
>From the contents of the circuit board of a rusty unit I looked
at at the junkyard, I'd guess this headunit does indeed make the
decisions about temp, air source, and air outputs - with
pinouts, it shouldn't be too hard to make a few necessary
manual overrides, e.g. recirculation while the blower
is going, etc.
