I looked into the MB one, it does look more durable but the inlet and outlet
are smaller than Audi.
What is the one on the Vanagon do?

What's the typical life; mine is over 100k and 7 years.
Also: I believe that one of the vanagon models used a similar pump; it's a
bosch part, so should be available (cheaper) aftermarket; also, I think some
Mercedes models use one. It is just an electric pump; I think some racer
catalogs sell them as well.
