Ed. and need to obtain as much of the original red leather interior as
possible. The damage is mainly due to heat and wear, no cuts but the
stitching has given way on the top of the rear seat panel, and some of
the driver's seat.
Bill,
if the stiching is all that is wrong, you said no tears, a competent
upholstery shop can put it back together without any additional material
needed. You can redye the faded and worn spots. Many of that vintage
Audi seats experience the same problems, I've had a few restiched no
problem.
