Wheel painting...

Hi!

I was looking at my rear BBS mags the other day. They have some
scratches from riding against kerbs (been there since I got it)
and have white spots and blotches. I think the blotches are
from the coating coming off or something and I'm thinking of
removing the wheels, cleaning them thoroughly and then recoating
them or repainting them with a aluminium/silver paint.

So, questions are:

	1) who has painted their mag wheels?

	2) are there specific wheel paints out there that
will not chip and not cause adverse effects to
	   the wheel?

	3) any specific procedure for cleaning and painting
	   that I can stick to?

I once cleaned the wheels by removing them and having a go
at them with wheel cleaner and a brush. It was shocking
to see how much grease, brake dust and gunk was on the
rim behind the spokes (ie. section you don't normally get to
when cleaning the wheel). Took almost an hour per wheel.
