Re: shocks struts-kyb



I used these in our previous '87 5kcst automatic.  They were a big step up
from our dead as a door nail Boge oil struts/shocks.

I had used them previously in our '85 VW GTI with good results as well.
That car saw some track time with no complaints.

If I had to take a wild guess, I'd view them as a small step up from the
NEW stock boge oil gear that came on your car.  They are not OEM on any
Audi that I know of, nor are they performance by anyone's standard except
for maybe many guys' that have cars (non-euro) that 
came with Monroe shocks as OE.

That said, if I recall they were the cheapest non-junk available for our
cars and about half the price of the Boges.  For the money, they are a good
alternative.

Hell, now that I think about it, I should have bought those for our beater
4kq instead of the Boge TG.  Oh, wait, I bought those used...
