An interesting name. 'Fergnugen' is meaningless in German, but
'vergnugen' is a verb meaning to enjoy oneself - it has sybaritic
overtones. Germans pronounce initial 'v' as 'f' - so it's an aural
pun.
'Blau', of course, means simply 'blue' - although in common slang it
also means 'helplessly drunk'.
"Blauvergnugen" could be a compound verb meaning to satisfy oneself
by getting as drunk as a skunk.
