You haven't been paying attention,Frank.
It's a universal complaint/fix for V8Q
owners, I don't know any that haven't
had to change these hoses because of
deterioration.
As for the synthetic oil thread, the problem as
discussed ad infinitem on this list before, is
that dino juice leaves a waxy buildup on the
seals/gaskets. When synthetic is introduced it
has a tendency to clean away this build up,
exposing long dry seals that start to leak.
Rule of thumb was something like 60K+ miles on
dino juice, keep using dino juice.
