The sensors should be refitted with a ablative cap. I'll look up the
part number tomorrow, unless someone else posts it. The idea is to fit
the cap over the sensor and then ram the sensor home. The cap has
_exactly_ the correct thickness to produce the required gap, and is simply
rubbed off as soon as the vehicle is driven. Many, many, many, many
people have tried to set the gap using feeler gauges and the like.
There's a reason Bosch didn't do it that way, and specified the gap:
