Where's my PS fluid?

Today was the first day below 60F around Boston. I got in my car and heard
power steering whine. So, I drove it to work(about 7 miles) so
I knew it was warmed up, parked it and checked the fluid. There was just a
little on the very bottom of the dipstick. WTF?

I'm going to bring it to the dealer first thing in the morning but if
anybody has any clues I'd like to hear them. 

BTW, it's a '98 A4 with 9k miles.
