No.

At some relatively random point, but fairly soon, it will let go
completely.  If you're lucky, it will simply start pissing water out
faster than you can pour it in.  If you're not lucky, it will sieze
and rip the timing belt to shreds.

On a Coupe GT, you should _THEORETICALLY_ get away with this, because
it's not supposed to be an interference engine.

It's not an especially tough job.  As a matter of fact, I did one
yesterday.

(On a 200TQ 1B engine).
