I always press it back in in the vise, although heating it up is a more elegant
solution.

I did all the suspension on the 200TQ with the help of a 35 ton press at work.
BTW, those monstrous bushings in the rear control arm broke loose at about 5
tons  and came out at the steadily pressure of 3 tons.
No butchering was required (with a hack saw or a torch).
