Here are a couple of possibilities: it sometimes happens that the water
pump shaft is a touch longer than the original and rubs the timing belt
cover or that the idler wheel, which ought to have been replaced also,
may now be complaining about the tightness of the fresh timing belt.
There is also a tendancy to over tighten the belt. Many folks have better
luck using 3/4 twist rather than the 1/2 twist tightness criteria found in
Bentley. Finally, some water pumps seem prone to squeaking.
