Just picked up my '87 5kcstq w/118k mi--drove it home to LA from SFO, no

Look for a fallen off hose on one of the locks - also check under rear seat
for vacuum pump operation - I think that's where it lives on these models.

-you might also look in the trunk on the left hand side.  There is a vacuum hose that goes to the lock on the trunk lid.  On my '84 5K the trunk lid hose is fed by another just behind the spring for the trunk.  Every so often the two hoses come apart and then I have no power locks.  Happened the other day, actually.  Only happens when I have other people in the car though...

I have a Sony CD changer + controller.  I've had it for close to 7 years without any problems.  If you're buying a new stereo though, I would try to get one that lights up red or can be modified to do so.  It'll match better with your dash lights.
