I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade here, but...
I forsee one drawback to this laser jamming thing. Won't your 
IR emitting device be setting off every laser dectector in the 
vicinity, causing anyone with such a device to stand mightily on 
the brakes and generally slow down traffic in your path? Bad news, 
especially if your rabbit is included in this group. The 
intellectuals with the laser detectors will eventually figure 
out the source of the false alarms, possibly exacting vengence.

Just a thought, feel free to ignore me if this has been covered.
