Re: brakes and lonnnng downhills
My understanding is that a proportioning valve change _should_ be done
when a conversion is done. The UFO's definately have different
characteristics than 11" brakes do. I think you have documented that the
UFO's were "stronger" than your current setup since they should have
matched your rear brakes. The question now is: What is your current
setup? If you have 4 pot brakes, then something is really wrong as the
fronts should be overpowering the rears. This is all from my own
research, not experience, so chime in experts.
