RE: Attention New Zealanders!

yes, this bloke is an ex (is anyone an ex?) pom. greg has looked at the
car, and driven it. i have discussed the car at length with the owner. has
some previous affiliations with the ukqoc. wasn't too specific about what
affiliations though.

roger tells me that the car is white, mint, and has only covered $7k kms in
the last 3 years. mileage is, according to him, genuine @100k kms as is
that fact that it is a uk car, imported by him to nz 3 years ago.

this bring to 5 the number of 20v's ur-q's in the country to my knowledge.
the original 3 (red, black (moi) and white), and 2 uk imports. the white
20v has had heavy, but fully repaired accident damage. it has also been
chipped. the red and blacks ones are mint. not seen the red 20v in the
last 4 years. when i last saw it, it had 35k kms and 1 owner. it has
apparently put more owners and a lot more miles on it. the black one is 95k
kms, and 2 owners.

there are only 2 mb's to my knowledge. one black, and the other pearl.
greg's seen another one though. there are a relatively large number of
wr's, particularly 84-85 examples. i would estimate around 15 in the
country.

roger tells me that he has had little interest in nz. he wants $59k. which
sounds about right, for an import. he discussed advertising the car in the
uk as he though he would have a better chance of a sale there.

if anyone is interested, i could get the vin, and then get a check done by
the moles of the ukqoc. greg??? (time to mortgage the wife!).
