 Never heard of such a thing. And even if it were true,
 a lean running cylinder would cause the manifold to 
 be extra clean, not dirty.  If this were true, it
 would have shown up on other cars, considering that
 probably all the I-5's of this type still on the road 
 have had the manifolds off. (those pesky manifold studs)
