Washing your car

This may be a dumb question but, do the high-pressure washers do any damage
to cars? I remember hearing somewhere that you should not use these jet
wash things at do it yourself car washes but I cannot remember why. I just
remembered this last night after washing my A4.

Also, can you wax windows with tint on them or will this ruin the tint? I
have always waxed the outside of my windows but left the inside alone
because of the tint.
