OK - it's brain-addling time.

There's a construction over here, in a town called Hemel Hempstead,
that is universally known as "the Magic Roundabout".

It's actually a hexagon of four-lane roads with a roundabout and radial
four-lane road at each corner.

Think about it.  You approach it from one side, and want to go straight
out the other.  You can actually go round it clockwise (we drive on
the left, so that's the outside pair of lanes, with one left turn, two
right turns, and a final left turn.  Or you can go round anti-clockwise
to achieve the same effect - one right turn, two left turns, and a final
right turn.

What is truly mind-buggering is the speed with which the locals attack
it.
