Re: Help! My rear seat belts are stuck!
Hi Tony:
I'm laughing the laugh of BTDT. I was able to open the belt real with
a vice grip. Upon openning it is amazing just how simple the mechanism
is. There is a ball bearing the size of a small marble that upon hard
breaking or impact "pivots" forward due to its' momentum and locks
the ratchet.
To cut short a long story, just hold the reel in such a position to
allow the ball bearing to pivot to what amounts to be the rear of the
car and you should be good to go.
Man I feel, actually felt, your pain.
