US vs. UK Brake parts

OK all you Fiche readers and Audi experts:

I'm wondering if there is any difference between US and UK or European
brake parts for a 91 90Q 20V.  I just need the usual brake disks and
pads... I'm not trying to get fancy.  Is there a model 400 in UK that is
what the US would call model 90?

You may be wondering why I'm asking?

Well.... Let me just say that parts prices are LOTS less on SOME stuff in
Europe.  The shipping is high, though.  So I don't want to have to ship
parts back if I can avoid it....
