Turbo say "Bye-Bye"

My 97 A4t has been having boost problems recently, causing it to have
less power than it did before the TAP chip went in. After hooking it
up to the diagnostic computer twice, the dealership kept telling me that
nothing was wrong. (After all, how could there be--there are no error
codes?!) Anyway, finally, today, they called me to let me know that my
car will require a new turbo and various other "modifications" to cooler
lines and the heat shield. Hmmm... okay, sounds fine, but here's the
thing. The A4 turbo is on "red-order," meaning that NOBODY has one.
According to the service advisor, it could be 2 days or 2 weeks.
Meanwhile, I have to drive my 1.8T, err 1.8 in its normally-aspirated
form. Bummer, I was so looking forward to Nov 1 at little talledega as
my first driving school.
