Just a quick comment for William[selling] and anyone interested in [buying] a
VW Fox. DO NOT, I repeat do not buy a Fox with the 5 speed transmission. The 4
speed is a much stronger and longer lasting transmission. There is something
in the main case on a 5 speed that wears out, and the only way to repair it is
to replace that section of the case, very expensive for an 8-10 year old car.
I can't remember exactly what it is that wears out, but it is not present in
the 4 speed transmission, that is why the 4 speed is a MUCH better
transmission. So if you are looking for an extra car to get you to and from
work, or for a college student, this Fox might be the one for you.
