VW vs. audi pricing

John,    To give you an idea of of what I think is overcharging, I ordered a
speedo cable. At the parts counter the guy quoted me about $85. The guy I
normally deal with was not around. I haggled him down to about $74 telling him
I usually get wholesale from the other guy. This was tough haggling and they
guy was a P$%^&.
So I go home and just for kicks call the VW parts guy he quotes me $65, so
much for my haggling skills. Just a week before this I ordered the #2 pressure
line and told him I could get it from the VW dealer cheaper. Again about $20+
cheaper. He gave me a dirty look but matched the price then tried to tell me
that audi and vw parts were different. Yeah right and GM parts only fit a
chevy. Problem is there are 2 audi dealerships in my area. As a side note a
friend of mine that worked in many parts depts. told me that audi parts
consistently run higher than others even mercedes.
