Re: LIDAR Help for my S4 (no Q content)

Regarding Dwayne Cosby's questions about LIDAR, how he was caught speeding
via LIDAR, and LIDAR's reliability,

Frank,

Don't be silly, of course I am not going to testify! In fact, I wish Dwayne
well. Officers of the law also check out Web sites, subscribe to lists,
search Dejanews, drive Audis, and have lives outside of their day jobs.
E-mail is not a transient, ephemeral thing. There is an indisputable public
record of Dwayne's posting to this list. I know it sounds like a stretch
but this could be one of those low probability of getting caught but high
consequences if you do sort of situtations along the lines of getting
caught exceeding your personal exemption and not declaring it when
returning back to your country from a shopping spree abroad. The law
usually takes a dim view of perjury (no Clinton threads please!) so I am
just advising Dwayne to carefully consider his options. I am not a lawyer
nor do I play one on TV so this is admittedly a lay opinion. I would hate
to see the Justice of the Peace make an example of Dwayne and throw him in
the clink for perjury just because the Audi enthusiast Crown Prosecutor
happened to subscribe to this list a month ago after he got his new A4 and
stumbled across this thread.
