That's true for all the 1.8Ts. Factory leather is available only with
2.8 models although a couple of folks have had it installed after
delivery.

To reduce the cost of the sport package and provide a choice, the sport
seats were designated a separate option in '98. MY '97 included the
sport seats, 16" alloys/all-weather tires and sport steering wheel. In
'98 it was changed to sport springs/shocks, 16" alloys/hi-po tires and
sport steering wheel. So, it was a trade-off - seats for the suspension.

No, I believe the FronTrak option was deleted. All 2.8 Avants are only
available as Quattros.
