Thanks for the reply. When hot, I'm even getting pressures slightly below 1.5
at 900 rpm idle. What really caught my concern was an unsmooth jerky move to
the needle on a couple of occasions. Was always a smooth up or down. Not
really sure why this happens. Will change to a lighter oil & see what I get.
Most likely 10-30 as you suggest. Once again thanks for the info &
reassurance.

 It's not unusual for your oil pressure to be "pegged' at cold idle,
 especially if you have been running a 20w-50 oil during the summer.  As for
 the hot idle pressure - higher is not necessarily better ...as long as it's
 between 1.5-2.0 bar @ 750-900 rpm you're fine.
