Re: Good bye and thanks

David

It's too bad that you could not find the quattro that you wanted but I am
sure that you will be happy in your new BMW. A friend of mine has a 325is
and it is a very nice car and he is very happy with it. There was a 325ix
that was offered (years?) for a while, the x stands for awd. I have seen a
few up in Calgary when I lived there but I have yet to see even one this
far South (Phoenix). If I could find one of those, I think I would grab it;
it would be pretty cool to have a 'quattro' bimmer.

Good luck and best regards

I joined the list about a month ago to learn about and find a suitable
quattro. I never did find just what I wanted, largely because so few
low to moderate mileage '91 200 sticks come to market. In the end, I
just needed a car in a shorter time than that required to wait out the
right car.

Today I bought a '93 BMW 325is and I love it. It would be ideal if it
had AWD (but then quattro's would ideally weigh 2800lbs). I'll just
need to chill out my high performance habits in the winter.

Several people on the list answered my questions, made helpful
suggestions, offered me cars to buy and generally helped my search
enormously. I hope the folks on the Bimmer list (anyone know of one?)
are as generous to strangers.

I'll wait a few lists for responses and good-byes before I unsubscribe.

Thanks again.
