I think that's what the dealer was trying to tell him when he said,
"it's a Porsche." It sounds like a Porsche. It isn't supposed to
sound like a Lexus. If your friend didn't like the sound and tells the
salesman he doesn't like it, honestly, what's the salesman
supposed to do about it? Maybe it was the manner in which he
said it but you can't get too mad at him for not being able to do
anything about engine noise in the car.
