this statement. The F40 is to good ol' Interstate 280 as the Paris-Dakar 911
Rallye car is to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Both are great cars and
reknown for their performance, but they just don't look right in these
circumstances (respectively & respectfully). >>
Well now Derek, It could be argued that anything but a "mommievan", SUV, or
adnoh would "look right for the circumstances" on 280. As you know, there a
great many well off people in the Bay Area who own nice cars. Sometimes they
even drive em ;-)
IMO, a F-40 on 280 looks no more out of place than the F40 I used to see
crusing around Santa Cruz, or Bruce Canepa's 959 that he used to park on Water
St. before it got kinda "hot" with the EPA or someone like that.
The sad part is the speeds one can get away with (or lack of) in such a car
cuz they say "ticket me" even parked. Reminds me of when I had to pass a red
Testarossa on the right in my 4kq cuz the woman driving wouldn't budge from
the left lane and insisted on doing exactly the speed limit. Sigh...whatta
waste.

Cinder blocks? Wasn't that a different thread?
Seriously Derek, I feel for you. It seems like just yesterday I saw that
beautiful Coupe whip into the Deer park parking lot for the Monterey Historics
caravan. I hope you get it running soon!

F40 could I bet...)
