Hi and RE: udi 4000 rally car.

Hi Todd! sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I do email out from
work and I'm only here 3 days a week!!(12hr shift). Nice to chat with
another Audi dude!! My car is N/A. I thought about a turbo 4 years ago,
but went with a high compression motor instead. Not the top end pucnh
needed but oodles of torque!! It's about 10:1 compression. Maybe
between 130-140 HP. I'm as fast as anyone in the turns it's on the long
straights that it suffers. The Mitsu Eclipses really fly and it's hard
to catch them. Turbos, to me, seem like they demand alot of attention.
Any race motor deserves good service. I just didn't feel like putting up
with the turbo. I'm now building a better engine from a N/A 20v block.
it has 10.3:1 comp pistons. Maybe, i'll get a little more hp out of it.
My suspension is home made. I used 2.5 coilover springs with the hats
and perches. I didn't use the threaded tube for adjusting. I use 350 lb
springs all the way around. After one year of thrashing, maybe, I would
put 400lb up front and 350 rear. There is more, drop me a line! See ya!
