Alternator Whining - Problem?

Hi All:

I noticed last night that my alternator was whining.  Very high pitch
that sounded like a bad bearing.  It only whines when under load though.
Turned the headlights off, no whine.  On-->Whine.  Checked the voltage
on the digital climate head Channel 11 and it was 13.6 to 13.7. so
that seems O.K.

I will be installing Euros with higher wattage bulbs so I want to make
sure all is in order with the charging system. Thoughts?
