I would let the upholstery guys do it.  Auto upholstery is pretty easy, esp.
on older cars, and they'll get a high grade cushion, cut it to fit (using an
electric knife, like a turkey carver), add necessary padding (I don't know
how an ur-q seat is put together), and recover.  It should look as good as
new.  I was in the biz for a bit, also just picked up (today AAMOF) an 86
5kcst seat with new seat bottom installed.  I was _very_ impressed.  Looks
as good as new.
