And a good thought. I had the same thought myself. Except I couldn't get
ONE Registered Importer (RI) to call or email me back, let alone get a
quote. I get the feeling they don't want to tackle this monkey. Anybody
else had better luck?
The way I figured to do this is to ship an S2 to the states using the
non-resident exemption of one year importation free (my wife is from
Northern Cyprus), and put all the goodies on an American CQ (or just the
VINs, it's your call), import the remnents. $17,000 car and shipping,
$5,000 labor.
