I dunno - all the 85-87 coupes and 4k's I've messed with, pushed in is
the on position for those switches. Maybe you accidentally *fixed*
something? From my memory of the wiring, though, I can't think of how
this could have happened, either the original "wrong way" function or
the change when installing a headlight switch.
