4000 quattro-replacing cam and crank seals (was replacing belts and hoses)

Thanks for all the advice on the timing belt replacement but ... of course
that leads to one more question.

Can cam and crank seals be replaced without the following special tools (per
Bentley Manual)?:

Cam Seal:
    oil seal extractor 2085
    sleeve and press 10-203

Crank Seal:
    seal remover 2086
    sleeve and press 2080A

If so, how?
