Re: 4000 quattro-replacing cam and crank seals (was replacing belts and hoses)

Chuck;

    I replaced the cam and front crank (oil pump) seal on my MC I5 motor
without the special tools. The cam seal popped out with a screwdriver and
took about 15 minute to replace. The crank seal was painfully cut with a
needle file and pulled out with a special hook I made out of a 4" nail - it
took two hours. Some listers have popped this one out with a screwdriver,
but mine was in there solid!
